What We Believe

1. We believe in one God, expressing Himself to us in three persons, Father, Son and Holy Spirit. He is Omnipotent (all-powerful), Omnipresent (eternal), and Omniscient (all-knowing).

2. We believe that Jesus Christ is both the Son of God, and is himself God. We believe he was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of a virgin; that he lived a sinless life on earth.

3. We believe that Jesus died on the cross as a once-for-all sacrifice for our sins, that he was buried, and that he was raised on the third day. We believe that he appeared alive to his disciples and was taken up into heaven, where he now sits at the right hand of the throne of God.

4. We believe that Jesus will come again in power, and that there will be a resurrection of the righteous and unrighteous.

5. We believe there will be a Day of Judgment, that the saved will enter the joys of eternal life and that the unrighteous will experience eternal condemnation.

6. We believe that people are saved by the grace of God through faith in Jesus Christ, and that God calls us to act out this faith in repentance, confession and baptism.

7. We believe that the church is the body of Christ and is comprised of all who are saved.

8. We believe the Bible to be the inspired word of God and the sole authority in matters of faith for the church.
